The European Innovation Partnership (EIP) on Smart Cities and Communities is Europe's key initiative to create a common
Market Place for Smart City solutions. It brings together ~ 4000 partners from cities, regions, industries and research to increase partnering and synergies,
to identify common projects and to boost demand innovative technologies and services. Through roll-out initiatives, public and private partners aim at replicating tested
innovation at large scale. Innovative solutions for smart electro-mobility and mobility services are at the heart of the smart urban mobility action cluster, where the aim
is to bring together up to 100 cities and their industry partners in replication action. Outreach to regions and cities is a key priority. This workshop, on 22 September 2016,
which is organised by the European Commission. Directorate-General Mobility and Transport together with the EIP action cluster sustainable urban mobility, and the city of Prague.
It invites committed partners of the EIP Smart Cities as well as everybody else interested to exchange information and discuss how to take forward innovations in smart
electro-mobility and smart mobility services and contribute to the ongoing roll-out initiatives.
This meeting will:
Provide participants with an opportunity to network and get an overview of the latest European policy developments related to smart cities and mobility
Discuss how investments in electric mobility and in smart mobility services in European urban areas can be increased.
Discuss how to advance promising innovative solutions and potentials for collaboration
Join existing activities to roll out innovative solutions

This workshop is the last of a series of smart cities and mobility outreach events that were held in December 2015 in Gothenburg and in May 2016 in Genoa,
which also included a mayors roundtable, interactive group discussions and practical demonstration activities.
